Christena Griffin

Ms. Christena Griffin is a native of Arizona and is Deaf.  After she earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Gallaudet University, she relocated to San Diego, California.  Job opportunities surfaced and Christena has taught sign language courses at a high school and local colleges for the past eight years.  Her professional desires have led her to pursue for a Master of Arts degree in Sign Language Teaching at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC which she completed in 2013.  She has taught ASL courses at GU for two years including the summer programs.  Her teaching experience and educational backgrounds have qualified her for a teaching certificate from American Sign Language Teachers Association (ASLTA).  Additionally, she is an active member for local and national chapters.  She also has volunteered in various committees at numerous deaf events.
